ABOUT

Mattias works as a Senior Advisor for the Arctic and Deputy Director for Marine and Freshwater at WWF Sweden. He manages projects funded by WWF Sweden in different parts of the Arctic. He is also WWF Sweden’s representative in the Arctic Programme Steering Committee.

He have a background as a Physical Geographer with a PhD in Glaciology where he did work on ice mass changes from small mountain glaciers and their contribution to sea level rise globally, as well as local changes in glacier-fed river run-off, due to climate change.

He is also very passionate when it comes to downhill skiing.
