Elena Solberg

ABOUT

Elena is a member of the Arctic communication working group. She participates in monthly meetings to share information about WWF-Norway’s latest work on Arctic and to see which of the Artic Programme’s activities are relevant for WWF-Norway’s communication work. She’s a Media Relations Manager at WWF-Norway. Her main responsibility is to develop and strengthen WWF-Norway’s media work to support our goal to stop biodiversity loss and cut emissions to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees, and to ensure linkages between our national and international communications work.

She has a degree in journalism and a professional background from PR and communication, both from public and private sector. Before joining WWF in October 2021, she worked with crisis communication during Covid-19 pandemic in one of Norway’s largest municipalities. Elena loves nature and uses every opportunity she can get to explore different hiking opportunities in the area.
