Ronja Wedegärtner

Project Leader

About

Ronja works as a Project Leader within the WWF Arctic Programme and supports its mission by providing technical knowledge and project management skills. To achieve this, she collaborates closely with members of the Coordinating team and external stakeholders such as WWF grant recipients and external contractors.

Prior to working at WWF, she worked at Artsdatabanken in Trondheim, mapped invasive species in the Arctic for the Norwegian Polar Institute, and led teaching and fieldwork in high-elevation and high-latitude ecosystems. Ronja obtained a PhD in biology with a focus on human impacts in northern mountain ecosystems at the Norwegian University for Science and Technology in Trondheim, where she was also involved in co-developing a course on science policy in the Arctic.

Outside office hours Ronja enjoys adventuring outside, reading, and cooking for friends.
