Arctic Youth Dialogue: Three-day workshop in Brussels
- Arctic youth
- Pan-Arctic
From 11-13 May 2024, youth from Europe and the Arctic states will embark on a journey of collaboration, insight, and action to shape the future of Arctic policy.
Launched in January 2024, Youth Together for Arctic Futures is a four-year EU-funded project aimed to support Arctic and European youth with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to work towards implementing good climate and nature policy for the Arctic.
As the Arctic faces unprecedented challenges, it’s imperative that the voices of the youth are heard. Guided by seasoned facilitators, participants will engage in dynamic workshops designed to foster consensus-building, policy crafting, and impactful storytelling.
Throughout the event, attendees will delve into diverse Arctic policy issues through sharing circles, gaining valuable perspectives from Arctic Indigenous youth, Arctic youth, and European youth alike. These sessions promise to ignite meaningful discussions and deepen understanding of how Arctic policy resonates on a personal level.
A highlight of the dialogue comes on 13 May, as participants step into the heart of European policy-making at the WWF European Policy Office. Here, alongside eight Arctic and European policymakers and experts, the youth will polish and sharpen their crafted policy recommendations to prepare for their presentation during the EU-Arctic Youth Dialogue on 15 May.
Beyond workshops, networking opportunities abound, providing a platform to forge connections and inspire change. From team-building exercises to engaging sessions on navigating international conferences, every moment is an opportunity to grow and collaborate.
The Arctic Youth Dialogue is part of the Youth Together for Arctic Futures project, which is funded by the European Union.
