Vanessa Dick is the Senior Governance Lead for WWF’s Global Arctic Programme, where she oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategies for effective Arctic governance. Her work spans critical international frameworks such as the Arctic Council, the Central Arctic Ocean Fisheries Agreement, the High Seas Treaty, and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Previously, Vanessa worked as the Legal and Policy Director at the Waitt Institute, leading legal assessments and collaborating with governments and stakeholders on sustainable ocean management, including the establishment of marine protected areas. She holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Environmental Law, Natural Resources Law, and Energy Law. Vanessa is passionate about the natural environment and enjoys spending time outdoors.
