Erin manages WWF-Canada’s Arctic area-based marine conservation projects, with a focus on supporting Inuit-led stewardship and conservation in the Canadian Eastern Arctic. This has often included identifying opportunities to convene Inuit community leaders to discuss shared priorities and concerns, which has informed WWF’s approach to Arctic conservation. Working with WWF since 2017, she contributed to the development of WWF-Canada’s MPA network planning initiative, Canadian Arctic Marine Priority Areas for Conservation (CanPAC), and now advocates for ocean-scale Arctic MPA network planning in her role as co-chair of the Global Arctic Programme’s ArcNet pillar.

Erin previously worked in wildlife co-management and holds a Master of Marine Management from Dalhousie University, where her research focused on the role of Indigenous knowledge systems in fisheries management in Nunavut, Canada. She had the pleasure of living in the Arctic (Iqaluit, Nunavut) for eight years and continues to enjoy visiting friends, family, and conservation partners in the North whenever possible.
